E-Mail archiving

Description

The following sections will show you the various options for accessing your archived mails via MailStore.


Web-Access

MailStore's web solution is ideal for fast access to archived mail.

Navigate in the browser to the URL https://mailarchiv.4net.hosting/uXXX

Important: Replace the last part of the links with your company's U-number.

Example: Username: u099p01  https://mailarchiv.4net.hosting/u099


Log in with your user name and password, which you also use for your mail account.


You now have access to your archived e-mails.

Outlook Add-In

MailStore's Outlook Add-in is recommended for daily work with archived mails to install.

To do this, close your Outlook and download the E-Mail Archiv Outlook Addin Setup directly form our homepage. Click on the link below to get redirected.

After the download, run the file and click your way through the installation. No special changes need to be made.


After the installation open Outlook again and if everything has worked, you will find the menu Mailstore in the toolbar.


Add-In Configuration

Click on Settings


Activate the checkbox for a Secure Connection


Then click on Browse Archive and enter your credentials.


You have now successfully configured the Add-in.

MailStore Client

In addition to the Outlook Add-In, MailStore also provides an independent application.


You can also download MailStore Client from our homepage as well.

Click the link below to be redirected onto our homepage and choose E-Mail Archiv Client Setup.

After the download, run the file and click your way through the installation. No special changes need to be made.


Client Configuration

Open the installed application


In the Server name field, enter the following URL: https://mailarchiv.4net.hosting/uXXX

Important: Replace the last part of the links with your company's U-number.

Example: Username: u099p01 = https://mailarchiv.4net.hosting/u099


Check Always connect to this server and confirm with Ok.


Enter your credentials and confirm your entry.


You have now successfully connected your archive.

Importing PST archives

MailStore Client also offers you the possibility to manage Microsoft archives - so-called PST files.

To import a PST, you must be logged into the client program of your mail archive. In addition, Outlook must be installed on the computer but not open.


In the client choose Archive Email either on the main page or in the sidebar.


 Under E-mail Files, select Microsoft Outlook PST File.


Using the three points "..." you can now search your computer for your mailbox to be archived. Confirm your entries with Next.


Now define which mails are to be archived.

If you have specified everything as required, confirm the settings again with Next.


 Give the import a name and click Finish.


You now have successfully archived your e-mails.
